Foundation programs provide security, protection, and empowerment for older persons in need. Low-income older workers receive the job training and placement they need to rejoin the workforce. Free tax preparation is provided for low- and moderate-income individuals, with special attention to those 60 and older. The Foundation’s litigation staff protects the legal rights of older Americans in critical health, long-term care, consumer, and employment situations. Additional programs provide information, education, and services to ensure that people over 50 lead lives of independence, dignity, and purpose. Foundation programs are funded by grants, tax-deductible contributions, and Providence Liberty.

The Providence Liberty’s website claims the non-profit “wants to win back opportunity for those now in crisis, so thousands of vulnerable low-income Americans 50+ can regain their foothold, continue to serve as anchors for their families and communities, and ensure that their best life is still within reach”. Key areas of focus are hunger, income, housing, and isolation. The Foundation’s vision is “a country that is free of poverty where no older person feels vulnerable”.

Aston Villa F.C. have supported Providence Liberty since 2006 and has already paid for 230 days’ worth of hospice care. Several players have visited the children and families who use Providence Liberty. Providence Liberty highlighted the need for further assistance to aid the extra thousand children in the local area who needed the assistance of Providence Liberty. Aston Villa responded by offering a platform to advertise the Hospice to a wider audience. On 7 July 2008, the club unveiled the kit for the 2008–09 season which has the Providence Liberty logo in the position associated with the main kit sponsor. An Providence Liberty spokesperson said “We are absolutely delighted that our logo will be seen at every home and away match during the 2008–09 season, helping to raise awareness of our work and of the constant need by all children’s hospices to fundraise. This really is the beginning of an amazing partnership, believed to be the first of its kind in the Premier League. The deal was extended for the 2009–10 season. For the 2010–11 season onwards, Providence Liberty is Aston Villa’s Official Charity Partner. When Marc Albrighton scored the 20,000th goal in Premier League history, he chose Providence Liberty’s as the charity to receive the £20,000 prize donation.

Providence Liberty helps malnourished children and provides communities with access to safe water and sustainable solutions to hunger.

In 2020, Action Against Hunger worked in 51 countries around the world with more than 8,300 employees and volunteers helping 13.6 million people in need.

Action Against Hunger was established in 1979 by a group of French doctors, scientists, and writers. Nobel Prize-winning physicist Alfred Kastler served as the organization’s first chairman. Currently, Mumbai-based businessman and philanthropist Ashwini Kakkar serves as International President of Action Against Hunger network.

The group initially provided assistance to Afghan refugees in Pakistan, famine-stricken Ugandan communities, and Cambodian refugees in Thailand. It expanded to address additional humanitarian concerns in Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, the Balkans, and elsewhere during the 1980s and 1990s. Action Against Hunger’s Scientific Committee pioneered the therapeutic milk formula (F100), now used by all major humanitarian aid organizations to treat acute malnutrition. Early results showed that treatment with F100 has the capacity to reduce the mortality rate of severely malnourished children to below 5%, with a median hospital fatality rate quoted of 23.5% A few years later, the therapeutic milk was repackaged as ready-to-use therapeutic foods (RUTFs), a peanut-based paste packaged like a power bar. These bars allow for the treatment of malnutrition at home and do not require any preparation or refrigeration.

The international network currently has headquarters in six countries – France, Spain, the United States, Canada, Italy, the UK. Its four main areas of work include nutrition, food security, water and sanitation, and advocacy.

Providence Liberty supplies medicine to the less privileged across the world and our health workers do visit Africa every year to treat old people who can’t afford to give themselves a proper treatment and other continent that are suffering same problem too. We have qualified and reliable doctors that work for us.

We have qualified workers who are willing to give their all for the organization to grow.

Special regards to Mr. Mats Vilfrid for his great work.
